General: The Denver Tea Room provides catering services and is an online tea store. We are not a restaurant and do not have a store front location. Tea events are presented in the location of your choice. If you need us to find a location for your event, please let us know. We are happy to accommodate your needs.
Our minimum requirement for full-service tea parties for adults is ten (10) individuals or a minimum of $240.00 (plus tax & gratuity). Children\’s tea parties can accommodate up to twelve (12) children for $275.00 (plus tax & gratuity).
Full service includes: arrival one hour prior to the start of the tea party for complete set-up of tables with table linens, cloth napkins, fine bone china, flatware, water glasses, background music, menu cards, preparation of food and service, uniformed wait staff for 1 ½ hours, and clean-up.
Full-service tea parties are offered throughout the Denver Metropolitan areas. A $25 additional mileage charge shall be added to any location more than 25 miles from our kitchen in Arvada, Colorado. Charges for any party locations of 50 miles or more from our office address shall be calculated accordingly.
Orders for food (without full service) may be placed. Delivery or pick-up can be arranged. Please contact us for food and delivery prices.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your tea party date. Payment of the deposit can be made on this website by clicking here. An event will not be considered "confirmed" until the deposit has been received. Payment of a deposit confirms that you have read this Policies page and agree to its terms. All balances are due on the date of service. We do accept major credit cards and personal checks. Any check returned by the bank for insufficient funds shall be charged an additional $30 service charge.
Final headcount for your party is due five days prior to the party date. Our staff shall contact you to obtain the final count and that count shall be the amount invoiced. The invoiced amount is due regardless of individual cancellations in your party. If additional guests are added after the final headcount has been submitted, an additional invoice will be submitted on the day of the event.
Cancellation policy: Deposits are non-refundable and may not be applied toward future dates in the event of cancellation.
A sales tax of 4.6% shall be applied to all services. A 15% gratuity shall be added to all parties. Thank you.
Additional charges for parties of more than 25 guests may apply for rentals, service charge, additional staff, and other costs associated with the event. Such charges shall be addressed in the contract.

The Denver Tea Room takes security very seriously and has therefore taken every precaution to secure our clients\’ information. In order to secure visitors\’ information, The Denver Tea Room has implemented several security measures to prevent loss, theft, or misuse of any visitor data.

When a user sends e-mail messages to The Denver Tea Room, the return address may be used to respond to the inquiry. The content and address contained in the message will be permanently recorded so that it can be referenced in future communications between the borrower and The Denver Tea Room. Email is not a secure means of transmitting information.
Refund policy
Refunds are based on the nature of the products sold. Those that are provided with custom services such as monogramming are non-refundable.
Other items, if returned in an unused and saleable condition may be returned by contacting our offices to arrange for return of merchandise. In all cases, the purchaser is responsible for all charges involved in the return of materials purchased online. All returns must be executed within 60 calendar days from the date of purchase.
We will credit your card with a refund within 5 working days. Sorry, refunds by cash or check are not provided.
